Homestead National Historic Park

Recently I visited Beatrice and Lincoln in Nebraska. On that trip I went to the Homestead National Historic Park. There they have a heritage center which serves as a museum along with a few other historic buildings. If you get the NPS it provides more information on the park, their historic buildings, self guided tours, grave sight, and hikes.

One display at the heritage center was a framed picture of National Park Pins. It was a multitude of pins one man collected when visiting all the park. He hoped it would provide interest to others in seeing all of our country’s parks.

Well I got my very first pin for the homestead park, and I would like to visit more parks and gain more pins!

Finally please enjoy the pictures from my trip. The first picture is a description of the heritage center and park.
